They can hear rumors about a group looking for an important object, see a bunch of suspicious looking people gathering and decide to follow them, really just be creative xD

Well... in the other day, in the chat Analu bumped in a pandemonian, then she start to know they...
But I had to leave, and he could not explain to her what's happening. So... I think that your OC notice strange things happening in the town, and make a contract with a pan or khan....and then train to join the search group.
